To improve the overall skill set of the citizens and increase their productivity, the SETA Skills Development Act was introduced in 1998 by the Government in South Africa. The Government wants business to invest in training the labour and educating them.

Companies need to pay Skills Development Levies (SDLs) to the Government and appoint a Skills Development Facilitator. They also need to submit the Workplace Skills Plan and Annual Training Report to their SETA by the 30th of June of each year. Companies can use an accredited training providers like College Africa Group to give training to employees either onsite or offsite.
